Pascal Joseph of ferrous, also Pasqual Joseph de Ferrous, (* 5. June 1753 in Bonn; "Â 21 August 1809 in Vienna) was a physician, who introduced the modern medical and emergency service nature as well as the cow smallpox inoculation to Austria. 1804 he was raised into the nobility and received the title knight.
Pascal Joseph de Ferro was born 1753 in Bonn as a son of the officer Johann Lazarus ferrous from Treviso and the Anna Catharina Komerscheid. With 14 years it began first training as Wundarzt, at that time a skilled trade, and went then as the military; from 1771-1775 it was Feld of a Kavallerieregiments. De Ferro wanted to become however physician and studied medicine in Heidelberg, Strasbourg and Vienna. It remained in Vienna and was first Assistenzarzt at the Parzmayer hospital, before it occurred 1785 the sanitary civil service with the title of Vienna". 1793 he was appointed the medical adviser of the down-Austrian federal state government in the rank of a government advice. In this position it provided for the mechanism of emergency measures and regulated the funeral nature.
1780 began de Ferro as a physician with chilled water treatments (hydrotherapy) and oxygen therapy, besides it designed a bath raft as swimming public swimming pool on the Danube. He was also a first physician in Vienna, who introduced 1799 the Jenner cow smallpox inoculation and to the consequence the pioneer of the Vakzination in Austria became. After the battle with daring RAM on 6 July 1809 it infected on the battleground, where it wounded supplied, with typhoid fever and died themselves one month later.
