Our time (UZ) is the 1969 created "socialist newspaper - newspaper of the DKP".
First only weekly paper appeared it owing to solid financial assistance from the GDR starting from 1 October 1973 also than daily paper in Neuss. After the reunification of Germany, at the beginning of the 90's, it would have had to stop their appearance because of financial problems almost. The German communist party strove to receive the newspaper so that it appears as 16-seitige weekly paper at present.
She can be seen as a so-called central executive body of the DKP, even if she is freely available at the kiosk. Their edition sank in the last years steadily and lies at present, according to Federal Constitution protection, country widely with somewhat less than 8,000 copies, which led to a vitally threatening financial situation. The editorship has at present its seat in meals.
