Otto Scholz (* 5. June 1916 in Geusa) be a former German surgeon and Chefarzt the Stralsunder surgical hospital.

Otto Scholz was born 1916 in Geusa in close proximity to Merseburg. Already during its school time its desire formed to become the medical profession. After the Abitur Scholz studied medicine. At the end of the Second World War Scholz was drawn in to the military service; he became acquainted with thereby its later hometown Stralsund and experienced into the there Marienkirche a concert on the placing car organ, after which he said himself according to own statement: "If you survive: There you want! ".

Professor Dr. med. having IL Scholz survived the Second World War and actually pulled with its family 1958 into the city on the Strelasund. He became a Chefarzt of the surgical hospital at the hospital at the Sund. Starting from 1963 he was besides a chairman of the circle committee of the German red cross. Under Scholz' line developed at the Stralsunder hospital its own anaesthesia department Otto scholz led the surgical hospital among other things up to its Verrentung 1981.
