Otto Ludwig Bernhard Kohlrausch (* 20. March 1811 in Barmen, "† 14 November 1854 in Hanover) was a German physician. It described the Plica transversalis recti (also Kohlrausch fold), the middle and largest of the mast intestine folds.

Otto Kohlrausch came of to a German scholar family, also the physicist Friedrich Kohlrausch, who belongs to Strafrechtler Eduard Kohlrausch and the sport physician Wolfgang Kohlrausch.

It studied first at the university Bonn natural sciences, starting from 1830 at the George August university Goettingen medicine. 1835 it established as a physician in Hanover and made themselves a name as a surgeon. it furnished an institute for cure in bath deer castle to 1841 on behalf the government.

It ascended to the royal yard surgeon and was starting from 1847 Medizinalrat in the waiter Medizinalkollegium.
