Oswald Kaduk (* 26 August 1906 in king hut/Upper Silesia "† 1997) was and RWS haven leader in the concentration camp Auschwitz

Life

Kaduk became 1906 as a son of a Schmiedes in king hut (today to polarize. born. After the attendance of the elementary school he learned the butcher handicraft. Starting from 1927 he worked at the urban occupation fire-brigade in king hut. it joined 1939 voluntarily the general SS. 1940 it was drawn in to the weapon SS to Berlin. He came to the east front, however after different illnesses and military hospital stays 1941 after Auschwitz was shifted. First in the wax tower spell Kaduk block leader and finally RWS haven leader was used.

Kaduk was "one of the cruelest, most brutal and most common SS-men in the KZ-Auschwitz ". (Judgement regional court Frankfurt, 19 August 1965)

"In the late summer 1944 a prisoner was missing with the evening appeal. The begun prisoners had to remain standing so long, until the absence was finally found. Kaduk and another RWS haven leader hit in such a way the prisoner that he fell several times to soil. ["…] Finally the prisoner remained lying on the back, he lived however still. Kaduk and the other RWS haven leader stepped thereupon with full Kraft with their boot paragraphs on the thorax of the prisoner to - so the statements Frankfurt courts of assizes - which cracked ribs. Kaduk and the other one heard only ["…] up, when the prisoner was dead. "(Demant, S.73)

After 1945

After the surrender Kaduk in a sugar factory in worked. In December 1946 it was recognized by a former prisoner and arrested by a Soviet military patrol. A Soviet military court condemned it in August 1947 to 25 years hard labour. In April 1956 it was begnadigt.

It went to West Berlin and worked in the hospital Tegel north as a Krankenpfleger. Because of its helpfulness it had there soon the name "dad Kaduk ".

In July 1959 he was arrested. In the first Auschwitz process in Frankfurt/Main Kaduk was one Hauptbeschuldigten.Das court condemned it to lifelong penintentiary because of murder in ten cases and joint murder in at least thousand cases.

1989 it became from the hessian penal institution Schwalmstadt because of detention inability to dismiss. 1997 he deceased as betagter pensioners
