Oskar leaving (* 11 January 1849 in Hamburg; "† 21 December 1907 in Berlin) was a German physician, who dedicated himself above all to questions of the hygiene and was considerably in the spreading by people baths in Germany and Austria involved.

Oskar leaving originated from a Jewish family; its father was a buyer in Hamburg. It studied medicine in Heidelberg, Goettingen, Strasbourg and Berlin and attained a doctorate 1872. After short assistant time in the skin hospital of the citizens of Berlin it opened a private hospital for Dermatologie and Syphilis in Berlin. As one of the first physicians of its time it tried to use X-ray therapeutically. As a skin physician it developed a zinc paste for the treatment of Ekzemen, which is still used also today.

Letting leaving special interest applied for the improvement of the hygenic conditions, straight also to the lower social classes. Thus it supported considerably the mechanism of institutes for disinfection and the people shower baths in such a way specified, which it had publicly presented to 1883 on the hygiene exhibition in Berlin. 1899 it created the German society for people baths. 1902 he became a professor at the university in Berlin.
