Dr. Oskar Dirlewanger (* 26 September 1895 in peppering castle; " 7 June 1945 in old living, was a German officer in army and weapon SS. it stood for 1944 according to the length of service list of the weapon SS (review of the position: 1. Mg company of the infantry regiment 121 under Dirlewangers guidance over Romania to Germany back.
After the end of war it attached different free corps and fought themselves in the Ruhr district, Saxonia and in June 1921 in Upper Silesia. Between its militant employments it studied economic science at the Handelshochschule in Mannheim. Because of anti-Semitic agitation it however 1921 was relegiert. It set its study in Frankfurt/Main away and in the year 1922 attained a doctorate it to the Dr. rer. pole. To 01.10.1922 it stepped into the NSDAP (member NR. 1,098,716). First Dirlewanger worked as an unsalaried employee at banks in Osterburken and Stuttgart and received then to 1925 an employment with the Swabian trust AG in Stuttgart. it changed 1928 as a managing director of the company Kornicker to Erfurt, where it separated on 31 December 1931 over to July 1933 as independent tax counsels to work. Its door from the bank business was due to most diverse offenses inevitably and also in the Jewish company Kornicker was noticeable it by suppression of several thousand Marks. Dirlewanger had bspw. Dirlewanger participated first as a member of the Spanish Fremdenlegion and then as a member of the Legion CONDOR to Spanish civil war. With the Spain cross excellently a resumption of the procedure before the regional court Stuttgart now surely succeeds to it, with support of interested places. In the course of the renegotiation it, acquitted despite "still not insignificant grounds for suspicion" from lack on prove with 30 April 1940. The original judgement is waived. The judgement appeared so few convincingly that the University of Frankfurt/Main refused first it to recognize. To beginning of the Second World War in September 1939 it announced voluntarily to the weapon SS (SS No. 357,267) and kept the rank of an upper tower leader.
On its suggestion the special command Dirlewanger for Vorbestrafte was set up like it of the SS in the KZ Oranienburg. These employments were coined/shaped of extreme brutality and brutalization of the soldiers. It came again and again to mass rapes and other excesses, with which usually person under age and children were the victims. Dirlewanger received the knight cross of the iron cross for this employment on 30 September 1944. Further it was involved in striking down the slowakischen rebellion in October 1944.
In the consequence the unit was used at different fronts in the east. With end of war was the unit of Dirlewanger as 36. Weapon infantry division of the SS to the Oderfront assigned. Dirlewanger succeeded to finally set off it and escape the Russian shank, into which a large part of its unit came.
Dirlewanger decreased/went back after and tried booty property, which he had stored with his parents to hide in order a diving to prepare. It was arrested by released Polish forced laborers at the beginning of of June 1945 in the upper-Swabian old living, circle Saulgau, in (French zone of occupation) and locked up locally. He probably deceased on 7 June 1945 at the consequences of abusing by its French attendants.
Rumors circulated into the 1960er years that Oskar Dirlewanger survived the war. It was subordinated, he was bodyguard of the president at that time of wet from Egypt. For this reason a French court arranged the Exhumierung of the corpse, in order to be able to exclude free of doubts the necessity for a further prosecution in November 1960.
