Opt in a procedure from the Permission is marketing, with which the receipt of regular messages - usually enamels or also SMS - explicitly must be agreed. By unique registering into a suscriber list the receiver agrees with the Opt in procedure the receipt.
A large problem with simple Opt in is that arbitrary contact contacts can be used for the registration, thus also incorrect data or data of third persons or organizations. Since such wrong or abusive entries lead again and again to problems and annoyance, the improved procedure double was developed Opt in.
With the Confirmed Opt in or double Opt in mentioned Opt in procedures must be confirmed the entry into the suscriber list in a second step. Usually for this a message with request for confirmation is sent to the registered contact address. If it concerns a genuine, i.e. desired Opt in, the subscriber has a confirmation that he indicated correct contact contacts. If it concerns against it an entry taken place abusively, the involuntary Abonnenment candidate can protect himself against an entry into the subscription list, by not reacting to the confirmation inquiry simply.
As confirmation also procedures are applicable beside mentioned above way, with which the confirmation takes place e.g. in writing on the post office way, by telephone or by bank credit transfer. The designation Confirmed Opt in (English: confirmed registration) describes the procedure more accurately than in the past the more frequently used designation double Opt in.
