OhmyNews.com is the grass root journalism which can be added a South Korean Internet newspaper. It was created on 22 February 2000 by Oh Yeon Ho.

The public is asked by the editorship to submit message articles which are then worked on and published. About 20% of contents of the Website are written by the 55 coworkers, who majority of the articles however provided by amateur reporters, mostly usual citizens. There are in the meantime 41,000 OhmyNews

OhmyNews affected the South Korean presidency election of the yearly 2002, with which roughly MOO Hyun was selected. After its choice it gave its first interview to OhmyNews.

OhmyNews publishes in English (OhmyNews international) and Korean language. At the 22.Februar 2006 OhmyNews and the Japanese company Softbank signed an investment agreement over 11 million US$. OhmyNews plans a Japanese folder.
