ODA - Official development Assistance are the expenditures for public development assistance.

Logical value: The indicator shows, like much a state in relation to the entire value of the produced goods and services of its national economy for public development assistance (ODA) per year spends (ODA in per cent of the gross national income of a country).

Definition: Financial volume of the public development assistance of a country in per cent of the gross national income. In the international comparison the ODA is computed since short no more in per cent of the BSP, but in per cent of the gross national income (BNE). Since 2003 the ODA covers also new activities of the peacekeaping measures and security as well as the certain debt cancellations for developing countries.
