The name of planks and halfoh agitates by the marriage of Arnold halfoh (1787 with rem-separate) - 1860 (Baden-Baden)) and Mathilde planks (1822 (Philadelphia, the USA) - 1841 (Mannheim) ago. The pair had lived until 1838 in the US state Pennsylvania, where Arnold had noticed halfoh the business of the royally Prussian Consul General.

1840 shifted it their residence into the Mannheim of Baden. Its son Gustav (1831 -1890) carried already the names plank halfoh. Gustav was married with Sophie (1837-1915) and attained the aristocracy title of planks and halfoh. From the marriage of Gustav and Sophie seven children followed. This meant also a fragmentation of the family of planks and halfoh into several branches of family. One of these branches led then to the line Krupp of planks and halfoh. This line is created on the fifth son of the family, likewise Gustav of planks carried the name for which and halfoh (1870-1950). This married 1906 Bertha Krupp, the older daughter of Friedrich Alfred Krupp (1854 - 1902) and Margarethe Krupp (1854 - 1931).
