North American aviation, Inc. was an important American airplane manufacturing firm.

When North American was created on 6 December 1928 of Clement key in Delaware, the company was pure getting thing for different airlines and attached enterprises. 1934 was forbidden to kind of such companies however by the air Mail act and had to be dissolved. Thus North American became an aircraft production company under the direction of James Howard Kindelberger.

Kindelberger shifted the company headquarters to Los Angeles, California, directly at the Municipal air haven, since weather-related during the whole yearly could be flown there. Kindelberger promised itself thereby a competition advantage opposite other manufacturers.

This given North American the addition for the building of the Apollo space cap and the service of module (CSM) in Downey. Likewise the drive system the talking clay/tone rocket and the second stage of the Saturn V was manufactured.

After the Apollo on 27 January 1967 North American a majority of the partial responsibility was given, since many carelessnesses were determined during the execution. The company fused then in the September of the same yearly with Rockwell standard to North American Rockwell, which came up again 1973 in Rockwell International. Finally Boeing bought up the military and space section of Rockwell in December 1996.
