The nominal capital or nominal capital represents the capital proven in the balance of a finance company, to which data refer to the possession of portions of the enterprise.

If the nominal capital is divided into portions with a nominal value from 1 euro each, then the computation, how much to per cent of an enterprise belong to someone, is thus a three-set on basis of the sum of the nominal capital and the number of portions (in case of a corporation shares) this person belongs. Someone holds 50,000 portions with a nominal value of a euro with a sum of the nominal capital of EUR 100,000 in such a way belongs to it for 50% of the enterprise. The nominal capital of EUR would be 100,000 only in 50.000. - Portions with a nominal value would belong to it divided by 2 euro in such a way with 50.000 portions of 100% of the enterprise.

At the corporation the nominal capital becomes as capital stock, at which GmbH calls capital stock.
