Nikolai Nikititsch count Demidow, (* 1773 in sank Petersburg; "† 1828), were a Russian Industrieller.Demidow administered its large mines and appointed for the execution of a rational enterprise numerous German officials and miners. In the patriotic war 1812 and led he established a regiment at own expense. After the peace it lived longer time in Paris and Florenz, met at both places the scholars and artists around itself and used his fortune with generosity for charitable purposes and for the promotion of the Kunst.Demidow was married with Baroness Elizabeth Alexandrovna Stroganoff (1779-1818) with which it two sons had: Paul Demidoff (1798-1840) and Anatole Demidoff (1813-1870).
