The Purina PetCare Germany GmbH is manufacturer of home animal food with seat in Euskirchen.

The enterprise resulted from various assumptions and fusions. On locations in 50 countries approx. 14,000 coworkers for the world-wide second largest offerer from products work to the domestic animal care.

History

Albert Latz develops the 1900er years baked Hundebiskuits and bases at the 11. March 1905 in Euskirchen a "dog cake factory". The sales is made first only by the dispatch. The product range is extended gradually by further dog fodder. 1923 die Albert Latz and its grandchildren resume the enterprise. Since 1948 also cat fodder is in the product assortment.

In the German center in Euskirchen are busy over 400 coworkers. 2004 were the annual production about 73.000 tons of Tiernahrung. In Germany the fodder under 11 marks is offered. The most well-known are: Felix, Gourmet, Bonzo and Matzinger.

1971 become RUBBER STRIP from the world-wide largest feed company, which ral clay/tone Purina company from pc. Louis taken over, which brings wet fodder for the first time into the assortment.

1983 take over the QUAKER OATS company from Chicago, whereby RUBBER STRIP to the second largest manufacturer in Germany and finally by fusion with the daughter Friskies even to the number 2 within the range home animal food in Europe.

2002 buy the company ral clay/tone Purina and from the two enterprises become the Purina PetCare.
