The nature park forest extends over the area around run-rises approximately between iron oh in the northwest and sun mountain in the southeast. It covers among other things the biosphere reservation Vessertal as well as the so-called dam region around the old person Gothaer (also dam Tambach Dietharz called), the narrow water, the Ohra as well as the Highest collections in the nature park forest are the large Beerberg (982 m NN) and the snow head (978 m NN).
