The nature park Swabian-Frankish forest covers the western part the Swabian-Frankish forest, which rushes about in the east to Crailsheim and Ellwangen to extended since 1979. The nature park describes the area between the cities Backnang, Heilbronn, Schw¤bisch resounds, Gaildorf, Lorch and Schorndorf. It is to the Hohenlohekreis, the rem Murr circle and the Ostalbkreis in the northeast of Baden-Wuerttemberg on the area of the districts Ludwigsburg, Heilbronn, resounds.

The park has altogether a surface of approximately 900 km and is in mainly hilly landscape on a height of 200 to 586 M. the climate is enough from mild viticulture climate to coolingdamp stimulating climate. 53% of the surface of the park are covered with forest.

On 22 June 2004 the nature park center in the city Murrhardt was opened.

The nature park is divided into five nature areas: the Welzheimer, the Murrhardter and the Mainhardter forest as well as the Waldenburger and the of mountains.

In the nature park the Murr and some supplies of the rems rise. The Ebnisee was originally an artificial lake for the to the pointing run. It is today like many other seas of the nature park than bath lake certified. The one of the supplies of the Murr, forms the front one and the rear Wasserfall in two places of its process.

For visitors of the nature park some moving didactic exhibitions offer themselves for Flora, fauna, geology, viticulture and history, among them also the Limeswanderweg between Lorch and and the mill moving way with Welzheim and Kaisersbach.

In the nature park the recreational park swabia park lies in Kaisersbach Gmeinweiler.
