The nature park Schlaubetal lies in east Brandenburg and is 227 km largely. It ends in the north in garbage rose and lies to the west of ironworks city and Guben. The landscape essentially developed before 90,000 years in the Brandenburgi stage the Weichsel ice age. This created the meltwater systems of the Schlaube, Dorche, Oelse and Demnitz. The Reicherskreutzer heath lies likewise in the nature park. There a heath landscape from the sand surface of a former tank range develops.

The most impressive part of the nature park is along the Schlaube. This rises into the Wirchenwiesen, flows through the Wirchensee, winds themselves through up to 30 m deep valleys, to charmful lakes expands several times and flows generally speaking to lake. Along the river run were there some mills, which are today partly restored.
