The nature park Maas Schwalm nice one is a transnational project in Germany and the Netherlands and 2002 was based. It is a landschaftlich beautiful, regionally important close and week final recreation area.

Often it becomes on an equal footing with the nature park Schwalm nice one. This was created however already 1965 and is in the meantime integrated.

It extends over an area in the circles Kleve, Viersen and Heinsberg as well as the city Moenchengladbach in Germany and in addition the municipalities Roermond, Roerdalen, Venlo and Swalmen in the Netherlands. Altogether it is 870 km largely. It has its name from the flowing through rivers Maas, Schwalm and nice ones.

In the nature park Maas Schwalm nice one lies also the landschaftlich very delightful protected area Krickenbecker lakes with the four lakes resulted from peat tap.

21 visitor centers inform about landscape, nature, culture and history. Numerous excursion ions and activities are offered.
