National the union OF Mineworkers (NUM) is a British trade union. The trade union came out 1945 from a reorganization of the Miners' Federation OF Great Britain (MFGB).

The individual mountain worker trade unions, which were united in the federation, were in late 19. and early 20. Century the largest and most powerful trade unions of Great Britain and exercised a substantial influence on the trade union movement in the country.
