A milk product or a dairy product is food, whose added mainly of milk consists. To the milk products on the one hand differently treated milk types belong and on the other hand by fermentation or extraction of milk components won products of the milk.

Milk, milk components (milk protein (Kasein, whey proteins), milk fat, lactose) and milk by-products (whey, butter milk) are used in the foodstuffs industry, baker's shops, beverage production, Kosmetikaherstellung and in the animal mast still as output materials for numerous other products:

• Milk ice from milk, milk powder, whey powder, milk fat etc.
• Milk chocolate
• Milk serum beverages from whey

• Kosmetika and ointments for example from goat butter
• Bath salts from whey

• But even plastics from Kasein; from skimmed milk is won, Kaseinkunststoffe was the first plastic generation (e.g. Art horn for buttons, combs, furniture grasps etc.).
