The MSCI World is a share index, which reflects the development of world-wide shares.

The MSCI World index is one of the most important share indices of the world. It is computed by the US-American Finanzdienstleister Morgan Stanley Capital international. The index contains shares from 23 countries and since 31 December 1969 is computed. The index attained its maximum rate in the year 2000 at 1.448, 76 points.
