The Japanese METI (English Ministry OF Economy, trade and Industry, dt. Ministry for economics, trade and industry, jap. keizai sangyo sho) is one of the Ministries of the Japanese government. It came out in the year 2001 in the context of the centers government reform from a union of the MITI with departments of other Ministries, for instance the office for economic planning keikicho).
