Under ME-too, also ME-Too or ME too ("I also"), details ME-too-products, one understands products, which come an original product into many characteristics and abilities same and with success of the Erstanbieters - as shortly thereafter as possible - on the market.

The original is often market leader or this market only created. ME-too-products address the same clientele, which also the original serves, represent however legally no plagiarism.

In the medicament market one knows also ME-Too-preparations, as name for

"Â… patented medicament active substances, which are only slight molecule variations of already existing substances mostly without own therapeutic innovations. Many of these preparations are not better in the effect than conventional medicaments without patent protection, obtain however higher prices. The portion of these analog preparations economical in the development of the total market was 2002 with 19,5 per cent"Â… (scientific Institut of the local health insurance companies).

In the television industry one speaks of ME-too formats. Mainly German production companies imitate American formats (e.g. "Sex and the town center" - "everything except Sex"). In addition the publicly legal transmitters imitate the formats of the private transmitters for some years (e.g. "Who millionaire" becomes - "Quiz with Pilawa").

Are generally typical looking also similar packing and/or frontispieces and easily changed ways of writing, so that these products can be held with attention lacking with the purchase quite for the original - for example often after the publication of new Disney productions.
