Baron Maximilian Joseph of Chelius (* 16 January 1794 in Mannheim; "† 17 August 1867 in Heidelberg) was a German optician and surgeon. It contributed considerably for the setting up a medical faculty of the University of Heidelberg.

Chelius is moves forward the Netherlands a prince Claus von Amsberg (1926-2002).

Honours

1841 lent the city Heidelberg Chelius, to 1862 the city Mannheim.
