Max Grundig (* 7. May 1908 in Nuremberg, "† 8 December 1989 in Baden-Baden) was the founder of the electronics company of the same name Grundig AG and ranks thereby among the important restaurant pioneers of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Life

Max Grundig buildup with its parents in Nuremberg, where he put the Abitur down later and completed afterwards training as the electrician. it made itself independent for 1930, when it opened the radio selling Grundig & Wurzer, trade with radios with a friend. Success was not missing and in such a way reached the company already 1938 a conversion of 1 million realm Mark. After the war, still before the currency reform, he brought the Grundig Heinzelmann, as kit without tubes, as first radios on the market, since the tube technology was subject still to the state-controlled economy. The customer had to procure itself the necessary tubes on other way. After the currency reform it expanded the business on wider ranges of the entertainment electronics (1951 e.g. on the first television sets) and was further very successful with it. 1951 it becomes also the largest radio manufacturer of Europe. 1963 were lent to it due to its earnings/services for the city 1972 it converted its enterprise to the corporation, 1984 delivered it the line of the company at Philips. The enterprise was at the beginning of the eighties with approximately 28,000 coworkers the largest employer in middle Franconia.
