Matthias's Ludwig guidancehope (* Luebeck 1 January 1748, "† Eutin 22 October 1821) was a German orthopedist.

Training

Guidancehope studied starting from 1797 medicine in Jena and Goettingen. 1801 it became Subdirector of the institute for relieving in Jena. it was attained a doctorate to 1803 in Jena to the Dr. med. and attached training as the optician in Vienna.

Work

Starting from 1804 guidancehope as a practical physician in Luebeck actively and changed 1807 were as a physician to the pc. Annen monastery in Luebeck. 1804 he was assigned by the senate of the city Luebeck the establishment of hospitals for refugees.

1818 opened guidancehope finally orthopedic Institut in Luebeck. There it obtained so good successes, in particular with children by new welfare methods and invented machines that this attained soon call European in its kind first Institut in Germany and guidancehope beyond the borders of the country admits made.
