Matthias (actually Klostermayr, the Bavarian Hiasl, (* 3 September 1736 in Kissing, "† 6 September 1771 in Dillingen) was a Wilderer and a leader of a "fair gang of robbers" in the Swabian-Bavarian border area at that time.

Originally Wilddieb, he attacked existing gang also offices and other public mechanisms after the murder of its Wildererkumpanen "star finery" with its out up to 30 persons. Thus it extorted from the office man in tax money, which it distributed under the population again. Klostermayr was arrested on 14 January 1771 by soldiers of the Swabian circle under Prime Minister second lieutenant Josef Schedel in the hotel post office in Osterzell after a fire fight and executed later in Dillingen cruelly (quartered).

Matthias Klostermayr was already famous and notorious during lifetimes. For many contemporaries from poorer layers he was a people hero. It lives on until today in numerous anecdotes, songs and legends. Friedrich Schiller is to have taken the Bavarian Hiasl as model for the Karl moorland in his piece the robbers.

2006 were furnished for Klostermayr a memorial place on property Mergenthau with Kissing.
