A marshalling area is a place, in which task forces and resources are collected as a precaution, arranged and made available for the direct employment or or held into reserve.

The term of the marshalling area is defined in the DIN 13050 and the FwDV 100.

Location

The location of the marshalling area is specified by the employment line. It is in safe situation in the proximity to the employment place, so that the forces fast there without can arrive to be endangered.

Structure

In the marshalling area resources are located as arranged as possible according to kind, function or unit affiliation without mutual handicap. After possibility a repair of defective resources should be possible. The task forces can be boarded there, visited sanitary plants or rested themselves. The line of the marshalling area should have information and communication possibilities.

Expiration

The task forces and - means are registered with their arrival and its arrival of the employment line is announced. At the request of the employment line the task forces are led and - means meeting demand to the employment place.
