Mark of A. Spencer (* 8 April 1977) is an US-American computer engineer.

Spencer was born as a son of two professors of the Auburn University - his father teaches education, its nut/mother French originating from Egypt - in Alabama. Its first going attempts as software developers go back into the High School time, when it wrote a program for the Benotung of pupils for a pocket money of five dollar for its teacher.

After it had made 1995 to the Auburn High School the Abitur with honor, studied Spencer to the Auburn University computer science (conclusion 1999 as Bachelor). Still during its study it created 1999 his company Digium, who was called still Linux support services at that time. The enterprise, whose managing director is still he today, manufactures VoIP based hardware and software solutions.

Spencer is an original author of several open SOURCE computer programs how:

• Gaim
• L2TP
• Asterisk

It developed nowadays most efficient VoIP minutes IAX.
