Marabo is one 1978 in Bochum von Macho and Christian Hennig created city magazine, which appeared since 1979 Ruhr district far. Until 2001 MARABO in the Bolero publishing house in Bochum appeared. Afterwards Marabo was taken over by the Essener Merlin group. With the change that of the publishing house replaced Peter Krauskopf (starting from 2001), who at the magazine as film editor and a catering trade critic worked from the beginning, Christian Hennig as an editor-in-chief. With expenditure for July 2005 the booklet stopped its appearance.

The MARABO magazine justified in its circulation area one in the contrast to the controlling WAZ company standing tradition of investigativen, social, and amusing reports as their representative Werner Schmitz, Kurt Schrage and Thomas Meiser applies.

Of Stefan Laurin edited MARABO on-line ones was the first up to date journalistic offer in the Ruhr district.
