Manga power was the first German-language Manga magazine.

First version (1996-1997)

Manga power was published first from 1996 to 1997 monthly in the album format of Ehapa. On 100 sides and at a price of 9,90 DM the magazine contained single chapters more reflected by Manga series such as A.D. policy, Hellhounds and Ranma 1/2 in (thus "more west ") read direction. This version of the Manga power was stopped however after six expenditures.

Second version (2002-2004)

Egmont Manga and Anime (EMA) started 2002 a new attempt and published a completely new version of the Manga power with 480 sides for 5 euro. It was the first Manga magazine, which appeared in the original-faithful Japanese directory format. It contained single chapters of Manga series in Japanese read direction such as Chobits, Peach Girl, Psychic Academy and Othello, which were published later to a large extent also than paperbacks.

Due to sinking reader numbers the publishing house tried an optical and contentwise re-orientation starting from expenditure 21 with thinner paper and new series such as Devil Children, could not however no more to the success of earlier expenditures tie. With expenditure 30 the Manga power was finally adjusted in September 2004.
