Ludwig Adolf Neugebauer (* 6. May 1821 in Kalisch, "† 9 August 1890 in Berlin) was a famous Polish and Russian 19. Century.

The Evangelist family was schlesischer origin, originated from the proximity of Jauer and moved after Kalisch at the beginning 18. Century. The father Ludwig Adolfs (first name unknown) was a Mueller in Dojutrowo with Kalisch and married Elizabeth geb. Neugebauer. The future physician studied Breslau at the renowned High School in Brieg in Schlesien and starting from 1840 at the university, where he successfully completed 1845 its medicine study and until 1849 at the there birth hospital was employed. In this year it returned to Kalisch and was there until 1857 active as a practicing private physician. 1858 it to Warsaw destined as a lecturer of anatomy and later the birth assistance at the medical academy, afterwards at the "hauptschule" and finally at the imperial university. 1862 he was appointed also the Chefarzt at the renowned holy spirit hospital.

Neugebauer became famous as one the creator of the modern in the Russian empire, as inventors of new operation methods and - devices. It published over 175 scientific work from the area of the first in more German and Latin, starting from 1850 also in Polish, and in the last years in Russian language, which it provided all with personal illustrations. Neugebauer was member of over 30 in and foreign scientific societies. It left an enormous bibliography of the and birth assistance, which covered all works since the antiquity until 1874. Its book collection testamentierte it the Warsaw physician chamber. Briefly before death he was appointed the university professor. Ludwig Adolf Neugebauer was married with Klara and got from their two sons: the famous physician Franciszek Ludwik Neugebauer, and Edmund Ludwik, doctor of chemistry. It died suddenly during a congress in Berlin and after the transfer of the corpse to Warsaw on the there Evangelist cemetery was buried.
