Lucifer Gnosis was one of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of the Anthroposophie, published theosophische magazine, which already represented first anthroposophische thoughts before the establishment of the Anthroposophi society. History

After Steiner had become on 19 October 1902 Secretary-General of the German section of the Theosophi society, he judged it as necessary to bring out also his own magazine. At the beginning in Lucifer Gnosis, gradually Steiner the theosophische terminology predominance transformed and arranged still theosophische topics however in the sense of its later Anthroposophie the articles regarding the anthroposophische "conscious becoming of humans ". In continuations one appeared realizations of the higher worlds in Lucifer Gnosis late works published in book form as , From the Akasha chronicle, the stages of the higher realization and the education of the child of the criterion of the Geisteswissenschaft. Although during its appearance actually as theosophische magazine publicises, after the separation from the Theosophi society Adyar 1912/13 the sheet was regarded as anthroposophisch, which corresponded to the facts also to a large extent. Accordingly of the Theosophie rejected, contents are seen today only of the Anthroposophi society as canonical.
