Lp SatCom AG is an enterprise, which offers satellite-based solutions for broadband to VSAT, come out from the companies Dornier GmbH (late Daimler Benz Aerospace AG) and Nortel network in the year 2000, Broadcast and military communications network works.

The forerunner of the enterprise, the range "satellite communication" of the Daimler Benz Aerospace AG, was responsible to the majority for the structure of the communication infrastructure in East Germany. With the establishment of the Nortel Daimler Benz Aerospace AG 1995 the entire ground station activities of the Daimler Benz Aerospace AG were integrated into the range SatCom with Nortel. 1997 began SatCom in Germany with the development of military satellite communication.

In July 2000 from the range SatCom of the Nortel Daimler Benz Aerospace AG the independent subsidiary company lp SatCom was then created. The transformation into a corporation took place in September 2002, shareholder is the AUGUSTA technology AG and SES ASTRA in Luxembourg.

One year later opened the enterprise addresses in the USA, China and the united Arab emirates.
