Louis Victor Robert Schwartzkopff (* 5. June 1825 in Magdeburg; "† 7. March 1892 in Berlin) was a German entrepreneur.

Between 1831 and 1842 he visited the High School in Magdeburg and the there vocational school, where he took William Siemens together with Carl with its brother Werner von Siemens mathematics instruction. 1842 to 1845 visited Schwartzkopff Gewerbeinstitut in Berlin, created by William Beuth. Subsequently, its practical training at the company Borsig took place, where it became acquainted with August Borsig personally. Schwartzkopff terminated this training with a six month's activity as on that Berlin-Hamburg railway. Between 1847 and 1851 he was a Maschinenmeister of the Magdeburg Wittenberger railway.

On 3 October 1852 it created the Nit iron foundry and engine works Schwartzkopff and Nit in Berlin together with the citizen of Berlin at that time foundry master, from which 1870 mechanical engineering AG pre-mounts the citizens of Berlin L.
