The magazine called itself , after today's orthography the "h" however is actually omitted. It called itself as "an appearing monthly journal containing original articles and selected translations from the eastern Litteratur regarding the basis of the religions of the east and the THEOSOPHIE" (original quotation). The first expenditure appeared in March 1893 in Leipzig, the latter in September 1900, thus altogether in 96 expenditures. In each case six expenditures were bound to an edition, i.e. editions January to June were combined into a large booklet, which appeared in each case in March, likewise editions July until Decembers with publication date Septembers. The format corresponded about to today's DIN A 5. On the title page was the theosophische Swastika (= swastika). Franz Hartmann did not only function as a publisher, but wrote also the largest part of the published articles. The total extent amounted during the of appearance on approximately 7300 sides, of it approximately 6100 translated of Hartmann themselves was written and/or from the English, the remainder distributed themselves about in equal parts on reader letters (mail box called) and other authors.

Primarily topics became approximately around eastern philosophies, like Buddhismus, Yoga, which publishes Veden, Upanishaden and the Bhagavad Gita. To Okkultismus and magic belonged however just as to the repertoire, as articles over the Christian Mystik and naturally much approximately around the Theosophie.

The new , this time already without "h" written, represented the continuation in the time of the magazine adjusted from 1901 to 1907. The magazine called itself now as "an appearing bimonthly journal, containing original articles and selected translations from the eastern literature regarding the religions of the east, okkulte science, Mystik and Theosophie" (original quotation). The first expenditure appeared June/July 1908 in Leipzig and Berlin last probably June/July 1913, thus altogether in 36 (possibly also 42 or 48) expenditures. Over the editions 1914 and possibly also 1915 is present no more data and it is uncertain whether these appeared actual. During the secured of appearance until 1913, the total extent amounted on approximately 2400 sides, about which Hartmann wrote approximately 1700. Approximately 120 sides fell on the reader letters and about 190 on other authors. The edition 1913, to the extent from approximately 390 sides, was published, because of Hartmann's death on 7 August 1912, of Paul Harald .
