Lorenz Scholz of Rosenau (also: Laurentius Scholtz) (* 20 September 1552 in Breslau; "Â 22 April 1599 ebenda) was a German Botaniker and physician.
After acquisition of classical training at the Elizabeth school in Breslau Scholz visited the university in Wittenberg. There as well as in Padova (Padua) and Bologna it studied 1572-78 medicine and other natural sciences. 1579 it undertook an education journey with several compatriots by Italy, went in the connection to France, where it attained a doctorate at the University of Valence to the doctor of the medicine and philosophy.
