A loose-leaf binder holds in a simple manner loose papers for arranging and/or to the protection together. It is normally manufactured from sturdy piece of paper or another thin, but firm material (e.g. plastic), which is folded approximately in the center. Loose-leaf binders are used frequently in connection with a filing cabinet (registration department), in order to keep loose sheets occasionally or permanently.

The urban official, the city Soden/proud mountain, Carl Gladitz invented 1895 the loose-leaf binders. It produced first in bath Soden, shifted then its work to bathing, later to Berlin.Der inventor of the sticking loose-leaf binder is more the company & shepherd GmbH in hair.

As the largest loose-leaf binder manufacturers in the German-speaking countries the companies Leitz, Elba and the company & already mentioned are considered.
