The LOOK IN! the firm contact fair of the university is Paderborn, which turns to studying and enterprise equally. She is organized by the university's group of industrial engineer natures and the university's group of economical informatics and thus completely on student initiative.
Target group of the fair studying of the economic science, economical informatics, computer science and Businesses Studies, as well as engineer and industrial engineer nature are international. In the focus of the interest all which will lock their study in next time and directly with enterprise representatives into contact to come would like, lie.
Since 2005 the LOOK exists IN! GbR as aligners of the fair. Partners are in equal parts the acting associations of the university's groups of industrial engineer natures and economical informatics.
In the eighties the University of at that time comprehensive university Paderborn experienced a constant growth, so that in the year 1991 the idea of a firm contact fair for the Paderborner studying took itself for the first time in attack. The university's group of industrial engineer natures developed at that time the fair concept, in order to facilitate for the well trained Ingeniereuren an entrance into the occupation world. The rising number of studying of 4.400 in the winter semesters 1972/73 on 14.000 in the winter semester 2003/04 and the continuous need at well trained specialists on the part of the enterprises is a substantial reason for the firm contact fair in Paderborn.
In the course of the years the range of the fair increased rapidly, so that the industrial engineers asked the friendly university's group of economical informatics and Paderborn student management consultation Campus Consult, which came out from the University of Paderborn, for support.
The fair experienced its high point in the year 2001, when over 40 enterprises at the university introduced themselves. She experienced a break-down however in the following years, which was on the one hand because of the generally bad economic situation in Germany. Besides the fair location, the library entrance hall of the University of Paderborn, was converted and was not therefore not usable.
Since November 2004 the fair takes place again annually in November under participation of the university's groups of industrial engineer natures and economical informatics. Since that time about in each case 20 enterprises think of the studying. In the year 2005 the fair became around a Vorveranstaltung under the name Pre LOOK IN! supplemented, for the one additional seminar and training course offer for the actual fair prepares.
For the year 2006 no growth is intended with the exhibitors, however the master program is again to be extended.
