Long-term accounts are work time accounts, which are not accounted for (i.d.R.) within one calendar year (to have), but work time assets of several years accumulate. These can be led apart from the "currency" time also across money.

Apart from the assets also the question of appropriate interest charges results in the case of long-term accounts:

• In time led accounts are not paid interest on in or with money, but the interest charges result from monetary values the exemption time, in particular, if the released coworker had payment increases or career jumps in the time between saving and exemption.
• In money led accounts are to be paid interest of money. Pertaining to labour law are entitled capital returns from retained, to not disbursed work repaying the employer. The payments in advance furnished by the coworker are to be regarded as payment transformation in the sense of the operating pension law.
