The euro (EUR or "€) is the common currency from at present 12 European states in the European union. The euro coins have two different sides: A common, European side, which show the and a national side, which show a motive, which was selected by the country, in which the coin were coined/shaped. Each member state has the right to arrange the back of its euro coins after its conceptions.

The coins of Lithuania were already coined/shaped in sample edition. Lithuania already joined the WKM II on 28 June 2004. The currency was already before coupled to DM. As motive for coin the litauische state coat of arms is shown, which points a fighting knight highly to horse with pulled sword.
