The Lincoln Blackwood was the first Oberklasse Pick UP Truck of the world. It was sold however because of unsatisfactory sales figures only for model year 2002. Despite its bad cutting off on the American automarket Cadillac presented the Escalade EXT as a competitor only few months after the introduction of the Blackwood. Contrary to the Blackwood the Cadillac EXT sold itself substantially better. For model year 2005 Lincoln presented the Mark LT as a successor of the Blackwood and competitor for the popular Cadillac Escalade EXT. The Marks LT meanwhile the most popular Oberklasse Pick UP Truck became and has its at present only competitor, the Cadillac Escalade EXT, suspended.
