LG Electronics is an enterprise from South Korea. The company offers products of the ranges to information technology, Consumer Electronics and portable radio as well as household appliances. It is a subsidiary company of the LG Group.

LG of Electronics products are considered meanwhile as qualitatively high-quality and innovative. Thus for example current DVD burners of LG support the DVD RAM format, and the 1997 presented Flatron picture tube was pointing the way for the picture tube technology until today. Often one finds also the designation LGe, whereby the e stands for Electronics.

LG Electronics is world market leader with CDMA mobile phones. The joint undertaking with the Netherlands Philips company, LG Philips LCD, is world market leader with flat screens for televisions and computers. In addition LG is leading the market in the range of the CD-ROM of drive assemblies.

Since 2004 LG Electronics aims at also a place in the European market for portable radio devices.

The seat of LG Electronics Germany is in Willich.
