If one regards the light spot of a laser pointer, one can see an optical effect, which is called "lasers of speckles". The light spot appears not uniformly bright, but granulated, like "flickering". One sees this effect by the way particularly good, if one directs the light spot toward a black article. This Granulation results from interference under the not ideally smooth surface of the illuminated body. At a point of laser stopped in a diffuse way by a lens it shows itself furthermore by a head movement whether one is short-sighted or farsighted (point movement against head movement - short-sighted; Point movement in head direction of motion - farsighted).
