The Landesverwaltung is a component of the German administration hierarchy.

The administrative structure of Germany is divided into three parts, to first the federal administration, to second into the Landesverwaltung and as the third into the municipal administration (municipality and district).

The Landesverwaltung and/or senate administration is settled at the federal state governments. Beside the Ministries it covers the authorities and mechanisms (institutes, bodies, donations), which are subordinate to the country directly. It fulfills the tasks, those after the principle of the not by the federation to be fulfilled and/or the tasks, which cannot be fulfilled by the level of the municipal administration.
