La vache qui rit (German: "The cow, laughs ") is the label name of a French fusion cheese of the company Fromageries Bel. In other countries the cheese becomes also under other names like "The lye-hung Cow "(Great Britain and the USA) or "the laughing cow "(Germany) sold.

The cheese manufactured since 1921 is particularly because of its round packing well-known, on which a laughing cow is shown, the Ohrringe in the form of the same round packing "of the La Vache qui rit "carries.

The motive decreases/goes back on the Illustrator Benjamin Rabier, which decorated truck of the military with the picture of a laughing cow in the First World War. One called this picture "Wachkyrie ", an allusion on "the German ".
