Krupp is the name of a German family dynasty of Industriellen 19. and 20. Century, which develop the occasional largest enterprise of Europe with the Krupp company. These enterprises are today in the ThyssenKrupp AG fused. The success by Friedrich Krupp created and by his son Alfred of the enterprises led to economical bloom as well as the almost size of the Krupp work area coined/shaped considerably the picture of the city meal from the high industrialization to far after the end of the Second World War.

The Krupps was - with exception of the time of the Weimar Republic - connected with each German government of emperor Wilhelm Ith up to Konrad Adenauer closely. The weapons manufactured by them coined/shaped the wars of Europe from 1866 to 1945.

  3. Friedrich Alfred Krupp (1854-1902), marries Freiin of end (1854-1931) with Margarethe Krupp geb.
  4. Bertha Krupp (1886-1957), marries with Gustav Krupp of planks and halfoh (1870-1950)
  5. Alfried Krupp of planks and halfoh (1907-1967), "the last Krupp "
  6. Arndt of planks and halfoh (1938-1986) (hereditary renouncement in favor of the donation 1966)

  • Arthur Krupp (1856-1938) in Berne village

Not related to the family Krupp, but formerly being located in close contact to Alfried Krupp of planks and halfoh and considerably at the fate of the enterprise in the second half 20. Century Berthold Beitz, former plenipotentiaries of Alfried Krupp, until today (2005) is involved chairman of the Kuratoriums of the Alfried Krupp of planks and half oh donation, the largest (2005) shareholder of the ThyssenKrupp company.

Trivia

  • Krupp as alias for the Diphtherie is to be due not to any harmful influences of the kruppschen factories on the health of humans in the surrounding areas, but supposed to the Scottish croup for "hoarseness ".
