The company Koziol GmbH is manufacturer of housewares from plastic. Admits became this company by the so-called dream balls. Seat from Koziol is hereditaryoh in the Odenwald. Here the enterprise is employer for several hundred employees.

Firm history

• 1927: Bernhard Koziol opens an ivory workshop.

• 1930: A barn is converted to the workshop, in which by several coworkers decoration from ivory is carved.

• 1935: A plastic jet moulding machine is purchased.

• 1940:150 coworkers draw into new factory buildings in Michelstadt.

• 1945: After the war production is removed by plastic articles.

• 1950: Bernhard has the idea of a "dream ball" - a semicircular glass ball, which is filled with water. In the ball is a figure, at the beginning of Santa Claus. White plastic flakes float in the water, so that a snow-covered snow landscape is copied. These dream or miracle balls is sold since then world-wide with thousands of motives.

• 1970: A factory complex is established in hereditaryoh.

• 1980: The management turns into to the two sons Bernhard and Stephan.

• For years the company Koziol produces the 1990er mainly housewares and gift articles.

The products are unmistakable from the Design and are therefore regularly copied and copied. The company connects Kitsch with functionality and pays attention thereby at the same time to reasonable prices for the consumers. The product range reaches from the Spaghetti Portionierer to the CD stand.

End of the 90's died Bernhard Koziol June. Acting owner is further its brother Stephan Koziol as well as Th. Lively man.

In the "old person Koziol factory in the Michelstadt a Factory Outlet was furnished to the direct sales of the Koziol products.
