Konrad Kujau (* 27. June 1938 in "† 12 September 2000 in Stuttgart) was a painter and action artist and became 1983 as a counterfeiter of the Hitler diaries, which it sold for 9.3 million D-mark (in the 100 year documentation Second Channel of German Television is spoken of approximately 2 million) to the star, world-famous.

With an air raid on Dresden the family Kujau was torn apart. Therefore it spent its childhood/youth in an orphanage, until in the year 1951 the family members had again together-found themselves.

Kujau completed the people and high school in its place of residence. There it was already active during the school time graphically and published among other things caricatures in different publications, like the Saxonian newspaper, the boys world, the magazine "its and singing "or the Eulenspiegel.

In the time after the Abitur (1956) by July 1957 it was written at the academy of arts Dresden. Afterwards it fled from the GDR into the West Berlin at that time. 1958 it began a study at the academy of arts Stuttgart. In this time learned Kujau of painters and restorers, to who he went to the hand. 1961 it broke however its study off and worked as an artist. Together with his life companion at that time Edith dear-long it lived in Bietigheim Bissingen.

Condemned during the process around the falsified Hitler diaries before that Hamburg regional courts it in July 1985 because of fraud to four years and six months detention, however already after three years because of its heavy laryngeal cancer illness to dismiss. After its detention Kujau used its won popularity and opened its own studio in which it "original Kujau falsifications" officially sold. Its admittingness was increased by the filming of history over the falsified Hitler diaries in the film Schtonk! Its falsifications became in such a way admit that 2006 with an auction on Ebay falsified Kujau falsifications emerged. These were, then it was called bought and then provided with the signature by Kujau in the media, of the chief of the Kujau museum in the Pfullendorf of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Asia. Allegedly it succeeded to it thus to sell in this way more than 500 oil pictures until one would creep it on came. According to newest data however nothing could be proven such a thing with the examination.

Until before its death 2000 Kujau predominantly worked briefly as a painter in its studio. it placed itself to 1996 in Stuttgart as a mayor candidate to the choice. To it 901 voices were allotted.
